Somewhere over the last 16 years, I watched over 450 professionals walk into a room with something important to say — and freeze.
Not because they weren't smart. Not because they didn't care. But because nobody had ever taught them how to manage the nerves, trust their voice, and own the room.
That gap is exactly why I started CLB Content Works: to help you create your message, build your confidence, and grow your impact.
I'm Chrissy Little-Bello - and this newsletter is how I do that, one month at a time.
What to Expect from The Confidence Connection
Every month, you'll get a 3–5 minute read with one research-backed tip, a quick win you can use that week or month, and a note from me on what I'm seeing in real coaching sessions
No fluff. No filler. Just the good stuff — straight to your inbox, once a month.
July's Quick Win: The 4-4-4 Reset
Before I let you go, I want to give you something you can use today.
The next time you feel that pre-presentation panic rising — the racing heart, the dry mouth, the "Why did I agree to this" spiral — try this:
Inhale slowly for 4 counts
Hold for 4 counts
Exhale slowly for 4 counts
Repeat twice
This is called box breathing, and it's used by everyone from surgeons to Navy SEALs to calm their nervous system under pressure. It works by activating the parasympathetic nervous system — essentially hitting the "reset & rest" buttons in your brain.
It takes less than 90 seconds. Do it in the hallway, the bathroom, the elevator. Nobody will even know.
Try it before your next meeting this week and notice what shifts.

“Starting this newsletter has been on my list for a while, and I'm so glad it's finally here. My goal is simple: be the resource I wish I had when I was first helping people find their voice. If there's a topic you're struggling with — a specific situation, a fear, a presentation coming up — hit reply and tell me. I read every email, and your questions shape what I write about next."
